Wedding and Portrait Photographer – Belleville, Picton, Quinte West – www.shannonsteelephotography.com
Laura and Earl were married on the family farm in Warkworth, Ontario. The views were BREATHTAKING! What a beautiful day to be married! Congrats guys!
Here’s a few photos from the day!
As always be sure to check out the website: www.shannonsteelephotography.com and LIKE us on Facebook for lots more photos and info!
I met Kristen and her family at Shannon and Aaron’s wedding last summer. That’s what is amazing about this job: the lifelong connections you make with people! I happened to take a quick shot of her adorable daughter and earlier this summer, Kristen contacted me for MORE PHOTOS! 🙂
We met at the Quinte Conservation Area – a favourite spot of mine for photos and long walks with my dog!
These are a few of my favourites!
I have so many weddings to catch you up on because yes, I’ve been a bad blogger! A season of crazy weddings, surgery and heading back to school turned my life upside down. I’m happy to share a few weddings and engagements from last season with you. There will be LOTS more to come!
Shannon and Aaron were married in Picton at her father’s farm in Bloomfield. We headed out to Wellington Park for photos and then back in to Picton to get down and party at the reception. You’ll love these photos from their wedding! I had a blast!
Me and my telephoto lens had been spotted! Haha, makes me laugh everytime! You guys are great! 🙂
How awesome is the cake?! Homemade and rainbow bit, if I remember correctly! Gorgeous!
It’s taken me awhile to blog the wedding, but I’m wishing you a lifetime of happiness! 🙂
Laura and Earl contacted me late in 2012 to shoot their summer 2013 wedding. There’s nothing I love more than a hot summer night on a family farm shooting a wedding filled with friends and family.
Laura’s love for snowy weather got us together on a blustery day in January to take some shots in Peter’s Woods in Northumberland. A gorgeous spot for a gorgeous couple!
We spent the day laughing, telling stories and did I mention the view from their home? You’ll have to see that one for yourself. AMAZEBALLS!
You guys know I love me some bling bling. POW! Amazing.
What did I mention about the view? Imagine waking up to this every day? Northumberland Hills are gorgeous!
It’s that time of year to look back and reflect. It was a crazy year weddings and engagements! It was my busiest year yet, professionally and personally. I was able to meet so many amazing people, rekindle old friendships and build many new ones. I am hopeful for much of the same in 2013.
If there is one thing I’ve learned in 2012, it’s ‘life happens’. I am so grateful to have such understanding clients. I couldn’t do what I do without your support and friendships!
Goals for 2013: blogging more (!), making more time to take photos for myself, focusing on developing my brand and maybe finally doing that CN Tower Edgewalk (who’s in?!)
There are so many moments to remember this year. These are a few of my favourites, in no particular order. I hope you enjoy looking back at 2012 as much as I did!
Wishing everyone the best for 2013!
I was so so excited to shoot Chris and Christine’s wedding! Their family and friends really rallied together to prepare the family farm for a gorgeous wedding.
The boys were skeet shooting out back while the girls got in their makeup and dresses. Of course I had to check out this action!
Gorgeous! All the seating was perfectly shaded by the ceremony.
It ain’t a farm wedding without some killer boots.
On the left, beautiful bouquets! On the right, a clumsy bridesmaid scaped her leg on her morning jog! Eek!
The groom and his boys made their entrance on motorbikes. How cool! And badass, I might add!
The girls had some very special transportation to the ceremony. That’s the Father of the Bride driving the tractor!
Two very adorable and very excited Flower Girls. Aren’t the dresses amazing?
Cherry, the family dog was a big part of the wedding! And soo sweet!
Maple syrup anyone?
Everyone danced the night away! What a great wedding! Thanks for having me!
I photographed Shannon and her family at the Quinte Conservation Area a few weeks ago. What a great family! We had a blast exploring the trails and posing for some awesome pics. Check them out!
I learned that Lannah’s nickname was “Bug’ and she proved that nickname true by finding a toad hoping along the trail!

Amanda and Wesley had one of the hottest days of the year for their gorgeous wedding at the Bay of Quinte Golf & Country Club. But I had so much fun with Amanda & Wesley, their friends and family that it didn’t matter!
Here are some of my favourite shots of the day!
A wedding starts with a FABULOUS pair of shoes!
A standout fave!
Quite a reaction from the speeches!
Thank you for choosing me to photography your day! I had a blast!

I’ve known Emmet for a couple of years through our “day” jobs in retail. Amy struck gold when she met this kind-hearted, easy going guy with the BEST laugh ever! It’s contagious, I swear. Amy & Emmet met at a party in college and it was love ever since. They will be getting married in El Dorado next summer. Congrats guys! I had so much fun shooting your engagement session!
Cute idea! I love the way it turned out!
Amy had made up some cute signs to use, love them!
Heart shaped rock, anyone? 🙂
It’s important to be with someone who makes you laugh, and Amy & Emmet were all giggles!
We headed out for some silhouettes towards the end of the night.
My fave! Such great energy!
And a nice black and white to end the session!
